Ganguly Calls for Shami’s Return to Test Team

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has said that Mohammed Shami should return
to the Test team. His comment came after Shubman Gill’s team suffered a big defeat
against South Africa in the first Test at Eden Gardens, which ended in just three
days on Sunday.

India were chasing a target of 124 runs on a difficult pitch but were bowled out
for 93/9, losing the match by 30 runs.

India also struggled because captain Shubman Gill had a neck injury.
He could face only three balls and scored four runs before being taken
to the hospital. Many feel that if Shubman had been able to bat properly,
the match result might have been different.
