Gill Doubtful for Second Test After Injury

Shubman Gill is still not sure if he will be able to play in the second Test
against South Africa, which will be held in Guwahati on November 22. This update
comes even though he was discharged from a hospital in Kolkata on Sunday.

Gill suffered a neck spasm on the second day of the first Test. He had faced
only three balls before he felt pain in his neck and had to stop playing.
Because of this, he could not return to the field and was officially ruled
out on the third day of the match.

India missed him badly, and his absence became one of the reasons the team
lost the Test. At first, the injury did not look very serious. However, the
pain got worse, and he had to be taken to a hospital that same evening for
treatment.

Now, India’s medical team will monitor him closely over the next few days.
His chances of playing in the second Test will depend on how quickly he recovers.
The team management hopes that he will get better soon, but for now, his
availability remains uncertain.
