Hyderabad Families Shocked by Saudi Bus Tragedy

Many relatives of Indian pilgrims rushed to a travel agency in Hyderabad after
hearing about a road accident in Saudi Arabia involving Indians.

More than 40 people, mostly from Hyderabad, were reportedly killed when a bus
carrying Indian pilgrims from Mecca to Medina caught fire after it hit a diesel
tanker near Mufrihat early Monday morning.

“One week ago, seven members of my family went to Saudi Arabia. We heard about
the accident this morning,” one relative told ANI. He added that it would be
helpful if the government could support them.

Another man, who was very upset, said that seven members of his family were
also on the bus. He explained that the accident happened only 25 kilometres
from Medina.
