IBSA Fund Boosts Global South Cooperation for Women’s Empowerment

The India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Fund is an excellent example of countries working together to help people in need. This fund was created by the governments of India, Brazil, and South Africa, and it has been supporting projects that improve lives since 2004. So far, the fund has helped over 50 projects across nearly 40 countries.

During a meeting at the United Nations headquarters, Minister Savitri Thakur highlighted how countries from the Global South (a group of developing nations) are coming together to make a positive difference in women’s lives and help achieve sustainable development. The IBSA Fund focuses on supporting projects that give more power to women and help them become leaders. This is important because India, one of the founding countries, believes that women should be at the forefront of development efforts.

The fund has been successful in providing support to many countries, and it continues to make a positive impact by empowering women and promoting sustainable development. The IBSA Fund demonstrates how countries from the Global South can work together to achieve common goals and improve lives around the world.
