India AI Sets Record for Responsibility Pledges
India AI and Intel India have set a new world record for receiving the highest number of pledges for an AI responsibility campaign within 24 hours. More than 2.5 lakh students participated in the campaign and took a pledge to use artificial intelligence in a responsible and ethical way.
Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said that this achievement reflects the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the government wants India to lead in promoting responsible use of AI.
The Minister explained that the Ministry reached out to colleges, students, and faculty members across the country. They encouraged everyone to take a pledge to use AI as a tool for good and to ensure that it is used in a safe and ethical manner.
He also said that guiding the country towards Responsible AI is important for the future. The Minister congratulated and thanked the entire team involved in organising the campaign and achieving the world record.
