India Aim to Seal Series in Second ODI

The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, has arrived in Rajkot for the second ODI against New Zealand, to be played on Wednesday. India will be aiming to win the match and seal the three-match ODI series after taking the lead in the first game.

India have faced injury setbacks even before the series began. Rishabh Pant was ruled out due to injury before the opening match. Adding to the team’s problems, all-rounder Washington Sundar has now been ruled out of the remaining two matches because of injury.

As a replacement, Delhi all-rounder Ayush Badoni has been called up to the squad. However, it is unlikely that Badoni will make his India debut in this match. The team management is expected to include Nitish Kumar Reddy as Sundar’s replacement in the playing XI.

In the first ODI, India played with a balanced bowling attack, using three fast bowlers and three spinners. It remains to be seen whether the team will make any changes for the second match. There is also speculation that left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh could be included in the playing XI.

With injuries affecting the squad, the focus will be on how Shubman Gill and the rest of the team adapt as India looks to continue its winning momentum against New Zealand.
