India Beat Nepal, Enter Asia Cup Semifinals

In cricket, India recorded a strong seven-wicket win over Nepal in a Group A match of the ongoing ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament yesterday. With this victory, India confirmed their place in the semifinals.

This was India’s second win in three matches in Group A. The team is now at the top of the points table with four points, having won two matches and lost one.

Tanuja Kanwar was named Player of the Match for her excellent bowling. She played a key role in restricting Nepal to a low score. Batting first, Nepal were bowled out for just 78 runs in 18 overs, as India’s bowlers kept tight control throughout the innings.

Chasing a target of 79 runs, India made the task look easy. Opener Vrinda Dinesh scored an unbeaten 39 runs and led the team to victory. India reached the target in just 7.5 overs, showing their dominance in the match.

With this convincing win, India move confidently into the semifinals of the tournament.
