India Launches New E-Business Visa for Chinese

India has introduced a new e-Production Investment Business Visa, known as the e-B-4 Visa, for Chinese businesspersons. This visa allows them to travel to India for specific business-related activities, such as installing and commissioning equipment.

According to a recent advisory published on the Indian Embassy’s website in Beijing, the e-B-4 Visa came into effect on January 1. The advisory said that applicants can apply for the visa online, without the need to visit the Indian Embassy or use travel agents.

The online process is aimed at making travel easier and faster for business visitors. The visa is intended to support business cooperation and investment-related activities, especially in production and industrial sectors.

Officials said the new visa system will help streamline business travel between India and China by offering a simple and transparent application process for eligible business activities.
