Anil Kumble has praised the bowling performance of Royal Challengers Bengaluru for their strong and consistent displays throughout the tournament. He said the team’s bowlers played a key role in helping them win the title this season.
Kumble highlighted the important contributions of experienced fast bowlers like Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. According to him, both pacers performed well and provided stability to the bowling attack during crucial matches.
He also praised the spin department, mentioning that Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma turned out to be a surprise package for the team. Their performances helped strengthen the overall bowling unit.
Kumble said the combined effort of the fast bowlers and spinners allowed the team to control matches and defend challenging totals. “The bowling unit performed exceptionally well for them to win the trophy,” he said.

Kumble also shared his thoughts on the debate about the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League. He said that Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings remain the benchmark teams in the tournament because of their consistent success over the years.
