Jadeja Returns to Rajasthan Royals in Big Trade
Ravindra Jadeja has left Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after 13 years and returned
to his first Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Rajasthan Royals, in
a major trade. As part of the deal between CSK and Rajasthan Royals,
England all-rounder Sam Curran also moved with Jadeja, while Sanju Samson
joined CSK for the first time in his career.
For the past few days, there were strong rumours that Jadeja and Samson
might be traded. Samson has not been very happy with the Rajasthan Royals
management since head coach Rahul Dravid left. The rumours finally came
true on Saturday morning.
Samson joined CSK with his existing salary of ₹18 crore. Jadeja agreed to
reduce his salary by ₹4 crore and will now earn ₹14 crore with Rajasthan Royals.
Jadeja originally started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and won
the title with them in the first season. He moved to CSK in 2012.
