K Kavitha to Launch New Telangana Party

Telangana Jagruthi president and former BRS MLC K Kavitha has announced plans to launch a new political party in May. She said the party would aim to provide a strong alternative in the state and work towards eventually coming to power in Telangana.

Kavitha told reporters in Hyderabad on 19 February that the new party’s name would prominently include the word “Telangana”. She said this choice reflects her commitment to protecting the state’s self-respect and fulfilling its people’s aspirations.

Regarding the next Assembly elections, Kavitha said she would contest from either Siddipet or Bodhan, with Siddipet as her first choice. She emphasized that her party would focus on the interests and development of Telangana and offer a new political alternative for the people of the state.

Political analysts note that this announcement marks an important development in Telangana politics, as Kavitha is a well-known leader with strong ties to the region. The formation of her party is expected to reshape the political landscape ahead of the next Assembly elections.
