Kerala Assembly Adjourned Amid Sabarimala Gold Protests

The Kerala Assembly was adjourned for the day on Thursday following loud protests by the Opposition over the alleged Sabarimala gold looting case.

Soon after the session began, Opposition MLAs disrupted the proceedings. They moved into the well of the House, raised placards, and shouted slogans against the government, demanding answers and action on the issue.

The situation quickly turned chaotic, making it difficult for the Speaker to conduct the session. Some MLAs even sang a parody song beginning with “Pottiyye Ketiyye”, which added to the noise and tension inside the Assembly.

Despite repeated attempts to restore order, the protests continued. With members refusing to return to their seats, the Speaker was forced to adjourn the House for the rest of the day.

The disruption stalled all scheduled discussions and business. The incident highlighted the growing political tension in the state over the alleged gold looting case.
