Kishan and Surya Shine in India Victory
India’s batters Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav played explosive innings as the team comfortably defeated New Zealand in the second T20I match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday (January 23, 2026).
Both players attacked the bowlers from the start and scored runs quickly. The New Zealand bowlers struggled to control them, and India cruised to an easy victory.
After the match, all-rounder Shivam Dube praised Ishan Kishan’s performance. He said Kishan is one of the best left-handed batters he has seen. Dube also shared that Kishan is nicknamed “small pocket blast” in the dressing room because of his powerful hitting.
Dube added that Kishan had failed in the previous match but believed in his ability and showed his true form in this game. Kishan’s strong comeback was special, especially as he returned to the national team after two years.
