“KTR Calls SIT Probe Political Diversion Tactic”
After nearly eight hours of questioning by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the alleged phone-tapping case, Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) spoke to the media and strongly criticised the investigation.
KTR called the entire process a “planned diversion tactic.” He said the Congress-led state government was using investigative agencies to create unnecessary drama and attract public attention.
According to him, the government is trying to divert people’s focus from important issues such as administrative problems and its failure to keep election promises. He alleged that instead of solving public concerns, the government is targeting opposition leaders through investigations.
KTR further claimed that the questioning was politically motivated and meant to harass him and his party. He maintained that he had done nothing wrong and said the truth would come out.
The phone-tapping case has created political tension in the state, with both the ruling party and the opposition blaming each other. The SIT is continuing its probe into the matter.
