Life Goes On Amid Election Activity
While election officials in Chennai were covering some old inscriptions at Robinson Park in Royapuram, an important historical site, a local resident was quietly going about her daily work nearby.
Robinson Park is known as the place where the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) was launched in 1949, making it a politically significant location. As part of election-related activities, officials were covering certain writings or inscriptions at the site, possibly to follow election rules.
At the same time, A. Putli, a 50-year-old woman from the area, was focused on earning her daily income. She was selling buttermilk and aloe vera to passersby, continuing her routine despite the official work happening around her.
Her presence highlighted the contrast between political activities and the everyday struggles of common people. While authorities were busy with election preparations at a historic political site, Putli was simply trying to make a living and support herself.
This scene reflects how, even during important political moments, daily life continues for ordinary citizens who depend on small businesses for survival.
