Lucknow Hosts President Murmu for Two Key Events
President Droupadi Murmu will visit Lucknow today to take part in two events.
She will attend the launch of the Brahma Kumaris’ 2025-26 theme, ‘Meditation for
World Unity and Trust’, and later the closing ceremony of the diamond jubilee
celebrations of Bharat Scouts and Guides, addressing its 19th National Jamboree.
Dr. Mrityunjay, additional general secretary of Brahma Kumaris, said the President
will also meditate at the training centre and give the Flag and Kalash to 5 women
and 5 men. After this state-level launch, programs on the theme will be held
across the state.
The Scouts and Guides event is being held in Lucknow after 61 years. Around
33,000 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers from India, along with over 1,500
youth delegates from countries in the Asia-Pacific region—including Maldives,
Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia—are participating.
