Modi Leaves for South Africa G20 Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi started a three-day visit to South Africa on Friday.
This trip is important because he will attend the first-ever G20 summit taking
place on African soil. Leaders from many countries are gathering there to discuss
global issues like the economy, development, and international cooperation.
During his stay in Johannesburg, PM Modi will also join the sixth IBSA Summit.
IBSA is a group made up of India, Brazil, and South Africa. The three countries
meet to talk about working together on areas such as trade, technology,
and social development. Since the IBSA meeting is happening at the same
time as the G20 summit, PM Modi will be attending both events.
His visit is expected to strengthen India’s relations with African nations
and highlight India’s role in global decision-making.
