Nagaland Marks 76th Constitution Day Celebration
Nagaland is celebrating Constitution Day today, along with the rest of India. This day marks the 76th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India, which came into effect in 1950 and is the foundation of the country’s laws and rights.
Across the state, many programmes are being held in different government departments, directorates, and district offices. These events are meant to remind people about the importance of the Constitution and the values it stands for.
As part of the celebrations, government officials in Nagaland are reading out the Preamble of the Constitution, which explains the key principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Schools, colleges, and public institutions are also expected to participate in similar activities.
