Nine Killed in Cuddalore Road Accident

Nine people, including four women, were killed and at least 10 others were injured in a road accident in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore district on Wednesday evening.

The accident happened when a state-run bus going to Chennai lost control after one of its tyres burst. The bus crossed the low road divider, moved to the opposite side, and hit two cars coming from the other direction.

The crash took place around 7.30 pm at Ezhuthur near Thittakudi. All nine people who died were travelling in the two cars.
