Operation Sindoor Shows Strong Tri-Services Coordination
Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that Operation Sindoor shows strong coordination between the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He said the armed forces were given full freedom to act, and the operation is still continuing. He warned that any attack by the enemy will be met with a strong response.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, General Dwivedi said that after the terror attack in Pahalgam, the government took a clear and firm decision at the highest level to respond strongly. He said Operation Sindoor changed earlier strategies by carrying out deep strikes, destroying terror camps, and challenging the long-standing nuclear threat claims.
The Army Chief said the Indian Armed Forces hit seven out of nine identified targets during the operation. He added that the forces ensured a careful and controlled response to Pakistan’s actions.
General Dwivedi said that since May 10, the situation along the Western Front and in Jammu and Kashmir has remained sensitive but under control. He said that 31 terrorists were killed last year, and around 65 per cent of them were from Pakistan.
He also said that the situation along the northern borders is stable, but the armed forces remain on high alert and are maintaining constant vigilance to handle any future threats.
