Orthodox Church Head Raises Concerns Over RSS
The Supreme Head of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church has alleged that attacks on Christians and other minority communities are continuing because the ruling party is not taking action to stop them. He said the government’s silence and lack of response raise serious concerns.
Baselios Marthoma Mathews III said that when the ruling party does not control or openly condemn such attacks, it gives the impression that these incidents are being allowed to continue. According to him, this situation can only be seen as part of a larger plan.
He expressed concern over the safety and rights of minority communities and said that violence and intimidation against them must be strongly opposed. He stressed that it is the responsibility of those in power to protect all citizens, regardless of religion or community.
The church leader called for immediate action to stop such attacks and urged the authorities to clearly speak out against violence. He said that peace, equality, and respect for all religions are essential for the unity and well-being of the country.
