Pakistan Captain Says India Match Not Under Control
New Delhi: Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha has said that the team has no control over whether they play against India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Speaking during the captains’ meeting in Colombo, Agha explained that the decision depends completely on the Pakistan government. He said the players will follow whatever the government decides.
“The India game is not in our control. It is the government’s decision, and we respect that. Whatever they say, we will do,” Agha told reporters on Thursday.
He added that the team is focusing on the matches they are sure to play. Pakistan still has three other group games, and the players are excited and preparing hard for those matches.
Agha said the team wants to stay positive and concentrate on their performance instead of worrying about things they cannot control.
