Pakistan Continues Unprovoked Firing Along LoC in J&K for Ninth Straight Day
Pakistan has fired on Indian Army posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir for the ninth straight day. The Indian Army confirmed that Pakistani forces used small arms and mortar shells to target several forward areas without any provocation.
The firing began early in the morning and continued for several hours. Pakistani troops aimed their weapons at Indian military posts and nearby villages in districts like Poonch and Rajouri. They damaged houses, injured civilians, and disturbed daily life in the border areas.
The Indian Army responded strongly to the attacks. Soldiers returned fire and successfully prevented any major loss of life. Army officials said they will continue to defend every inch of Indian territory and protect civilians living near the border.
Local residents in the affected areas are living in fear. Many families have left their homes and moved to safer locations. The ongoing firing has disrupted schools, shops, and farms near the LoC. Villagers are asking the government to provide shelters, safety equipment, and medical help during this tense period.
The Ministry of Defence has condemned Pakistan’s actions and accused it of violating the ceasefire agreement. India signed a ceasefire deal with Pakistan in 2021 to stop cross-border firing and bring peace to the region. But Pakistan has broken the agreement many times this year, especially in recent weeks.
Officials believe that Pakistan is trying to create tension in Jammu and Kashmir and distract attention from its internal issues. They also said that Pakistan continues to support terrorist groups that try to enter India under the cover of firing.
The Indian government has urged Pakistan to stop firing and respect the peace agreement. Meanwhile, security forces remain on high alert along the border to stop any infiltration attempts and protect the people living nearby.
