Pakistan Forces Kill 67 in Border Clashes

Pakistan security forces said they killed 67 Afghan Taliban fighters during overnight operations along the southwestern border early Tuesday (March 3, 2026). Officials said the forces successfully pushed back attacks at 16 different locations in the border area.

According to the authorities, the clashes took place when armed groups tried to cross into Pakistani territory and target security posts. Security personnel responded quickly and carried out operations to stop the attacks. Heavy fighting was reported in several areas.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar shared details about the situation and said the action was part of Operation Ghazab lil Haq. The operation was launched on February 26 after a series of raids by Afghan Taliban fighters along the border.

He said the operation is aimed at protecting the country’s borders and ensuring the safety of citizens. Officials added that security forces remain on high alert and are continuing search operations in the affected areas.

The situation along the border remains tense, and authorities are closely monitoring developments to prevent further attacks.
