Police Shoot History-Sheeter Dead Near Chennai’s Madhavaram

On March 16, 2026, a notorious criminal known as Thoppai Ganesh (38) was shot dead by the police in the early hours of the morning near Madhavaram. Thoppai Ganesh, also known as Ganesh alias Dilli Ganesh alias Thoppai Ganesh, was a resident of BV Colony in Vyasarpadi. He was involved in at least 30 criminal cases, including five murders and one case of robbery reported recently in Puzhal. Additionally, he had cases related to murder, robbery, attempt to murder, NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances), and Arms Act against him.

The police classified him as an A+ category history-sheeter at the MKB Nagar police station. This means that he was considered one of the most notorious criminals in the area.
