Putin to Visit India on December 4-5
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India on December 4 and 5, after receiving an
invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During his visit, Putin will take part in the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit and hold
discussions with PM Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs said in an official statement.
The President of India will also welcome Putin and host a special banquet in his honour.
The visit will give both countries a chance to review their progress in various joint
projects, plan how to further strengthen their Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership,
and discuss important regional and global issues that matter to both nations.
This will be Putin’s first visit to India since 2021. Earlier, Putin and PM Modi met in
person on September 1 this year in Tianjin, China, during the SCO Summit.
