QS to Host Master’s Fair in Chennai as Demand for Global Degrees Strengthens

QS, a global leader in higher-education services and university performance analytics, is hosting the QS Discover Master’s Fair in Chennai on 11th December 2025, underscoring the city’s rising demand for international postgraduate pathways. The event, set to take place at Hyatt Regency Chennai from 5:30 to 9:00 pm, will connect aspiring students with admissions teams from 35+ leading universities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia.

Chennai continues to establish itself as a dynamic hub for globally minded learners. Growing interest in specialised master’s programmes, future-ready skill development, and international career mobility has fuelled the city’s engagement with global education. According to the QS Global Student Flows report, Chennai is among India’s top five cities for interest in overseas education, with students showing a steady rise in global aspirations. The city has recorded an 11.3% CAGR in international education interest since 2022, and in 2025, more than 34,000 students are exploring opportunities to study abroad.

Insights from the QS International Student Survey 2024 indicate that while Indian students are highly motivated to study abroad, many seek transparent information on affordability, post-study opportunities and application requirements. QS helps close this information gap by offering reliable data, valuable university insights and personalised guidance through its worldwide events.

This fair will feature representatives from over 30 globally recognised and highly ranked institutions. Attending universities include Bocconi University (ranked #12 globally and #4 in Europe for Social Sciences & Management Social Sciences & Management), IE University (ranks #32 in Business and Management Studies), Aarhus University (ranks #131 overall and #19 in Archaeology), Schulich School of Business, University of Bradford, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), University of Twente, Durham University, University of Winnipeg and several prominent US institutions such as George Washington University (ranks #39 globally for politics as subject), NYU Tandon School of Engineering (ranked #11 in the U.S. for Graduate Employability), University of Pittsburgh, Temple University etc.
