Residents Request Mini-Bus Service on Velachery Road
Residents of East Velachery have asked for mini-bus services to run on
Station Service Road, which is being upgraded by the Greater Chennai
Corporation (GCC). The road, previously owned by Southern Railway, was
recently handed over to the GCC and is being modernized at a cost of ₹26 crore.
Station Service Road runs alongside the elevated railway tracks of the
Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). It connects the southern end of the
Inner Ring Road extension close to Velachery railway station to Taramani
Link Road at MGR Salai, which is also connected to Rajiv Gandhi Salai.
