Revanth Reddy Slams BJP Over Owaisi Politics
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a strong criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of using the name of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for political advantage instead of focusing on real governance issues.
Speaking at a public event, Mr. Reddy said the BJP repeatedly brings up Mr. Owaisi during speeches and election campaigns to divert people’s attention. He alleged that the party uses Owaisi’s name to create fear among voters and to gain political support rather than discussing development or public welfare.
The Chief Minister claimed that BJP leaders “chant his name endlessly” and project him as a political threat or scarecrow. According to him, this strategy is used to influence public opinion and polarise voters during elections.
He said politics should be about solving people’s problems, improving infrastructure, creating jobs and ensuring better services. Instead, he accused the BJP of focusing on individuals and identity-based politics.
Mr. Reddy added that such tactics distract people from important issues like education, healthcare, and economic growth. He urged political parties to concentrate on governance and development rather than personal attacks.
The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid rising political tensions in the State, with parties stepping up their campaigns ahead of upcoming elections.
