Shah Signals BJP Push In TN, Bengal
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a large BJP public meeting in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday, where he expressed strong confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would win the 2026 Assembly elections in both Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Speaking to party workers and supporters, Mr. Shah said the BJP is working hard to strengthen its presence in these two States. He said the party is confident of forming governments in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal after the next Assembly elections.
Mr. Shah’s comments show the BJP’s clear focus on expanding its influence in States where it has not yet come to power. He said the party is building strong alliances, reaching out to people, and highlighting development work done by the Central government to gain public support.
During his speech, Mr. Shah also praised BJP workers for their efforts on the ground and urged them to stay united and work harder in the coming months. He said the people in both States are looking for change and will support the NDA in the next elections.
The rally in Pudukkottai was part of the BJP’s broader campaign to strengthen the party’s base in southern and eastern India ahead of the 2026 Assembly polls.
