Smart Trolleys Coming Soon To Chennai Airport
Following the example of Hyderabad airport, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will soon introduce smart trolleys at Chennai airport to make it easier for passengers to move around after security checks.
These smart trolleys are small, compact carts fitted with modern technology. They are designed to help passengers find their way inside the security hold area, where boarding gates, shops, restaurants, and other facilities are located.
With the help of digital screens and navigation support, passengers can use the trolleys to locate boarding gates, duty-free shops, food courts, restrooms, and lounges without confusion. This is expected to be especially helpful for first-time flyers, elderly passengers, and those travelling with children.
Officials said the new system aims to improve passenger comfort and reduce the stress of finding directions inside the terminal. The smart trolleys will also encourage passengers to explore shopping and dining options more easily while waiting for their flights.
AAI plans to roll out the smart trolleys soon at Chennai airport as part of its efforts to modernise airport facilities and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.
