M. K. Stalin and C. Joseph Vijay were among the key leaders who filed their nominations on Monday after the Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the April 23 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

M.K. Stalin filed his nomination papers for the Kolathur constituency. He submitted the documents to the Returning Officer in the presence of senior leaders from his party.

He was accompanied by senior DMK leader and minister P. K. Sekarbabu, along with senior advocates R. Shunmugasundaram, R. Viduthalai, and N.R. Elango.

The filing of nominations marks an important step in the election process, as political leaders begin their campaigns across the state. The elections are expected to see strong competition between major parties, with leaders actively reaching out to voters.

Officials said all procedures are being carried out as per election rules, and more candidates are expected to file their nominations in the coming days.
