Textile PLI Scheme Application Deadline Extended

The government has extended the deadline for submitting fresh applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles. The new last date to apply is March 31 this year.

The Ministry of Textiles said the decision was taken after receiving a strong response from textile companies. The application portal was reopened in August last year, and since then many companies have submitted their proposals.

According to the Ministry, the extension shows the growing confidence of investors in India’s textile sector. By giving more time, the government aims to encourage more eligible companies to take part in the scheme.

The PLI scheme is designed to support the growth of the textile industry, increase production, attract investments and create more jobs in the country.
