Tractors Set on Fire in Violent Farmer Protest

A protest by sugarcane farmers in Bagalkote, Karnataka, turned violent on
Thursday. More than 100 tractors filled with sugarcane were set on fire
inside the Godavari Sugars Factory, creating panic in the area.
Videos and early reports showed long rows of tractors burning, with thick
smoke covering the surroundings. Two motorcycles were also set on fire as
the situation became chaotic.
