Traffic Curbs in Delhi for Beating Retreat Rehearsal

Traffic restrictions will be in place in parts of New Delhi today due to rehearsals for the Beating Retreat ceremony at Vijay Chowk.

According to a traffic advisory issued by the police, Vijay Chowk will be closed to general traffic from 4 pm to 6.30 pm. Only authorised vehicles will be allowed during this time.

Vehicular movement will also be restricted on Raisina Road, especially from the roundabout near Krishi Bhawan towards Vijay Chowk.

In addition, traffic will not be allowed beyond the roundabouts at Dara Shikoh Road, Krishna Menon Marg, and Sunehri Masjid in the direction of Vijay Chowk during the rehearsal hours.

The road stretch between Vijay Chowk and Rafi Marg, leading towards the Kartavya Path crossing, will also remain closed.

Officials have advised commuters to plan their travel in advance, avoid these routes during the restricted hours, and use alternative roads to prevent delays.
