Travis Head Stars as Australia Wins First Ashes
Makeshift opener Travis Head played an incredible innings, scoring a 69-ball
century, to help Australia win the first Ashes Test on Saturday. England struggled
and were easily defeated at Perth Stadium.
Chasing 205 runs to win, Head scored 123, guiding Australia to victory by eight
wickets on day two. Marnus Labuschagne remained not out on 51 and Steve Smith
was on 2. This exciting start sets the tone for the five-match series.
