TVK Vijay Launches Election Campaign Against Stalin

Chennai: Vijay, president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, started his election campaign from Perambur on Monday after filing his nomination papers. A large number of supporters gathered to see him as he began his campaign.

During his speech, Vijay strongly criticized M. K. Stalin, saying the government has failed to control rising crime and drug-related problems in the state. He said poor law enforcement has made people feel unsafe, especially women and children.

Vijay questioned Stalin’s leadership and said that even after controlling the police force for five years, the situation has not improved. He asked what the use of the government is if it cannot protect its citizens. He also accused the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam of focusing more on personal benefits than on public welfare.

He raised allegations about corruption, mentioning issues related to TASMAC operations and a cash-for-jobs scam linked to the municipal department. He said his party would expose such wrongdoings if given a chance.

Vijay urged people to vote for TVK, which has the whistle symbol, and described the election as an opportunity for change. He said that even though there may not be many strong challengers, the main contest is between DMK and TVK.

After starting his campaign in Perambur, Vijay is scheduled to visit several other areas, including Kolathur and Villivakkam, as part of his campaign tour. He plans to connect with voters directly and share his vision for the state.
