Union Budget 2026-27 to Be Presented February 1
The Union Budget for 2026–27 will be presented on February 1, which falls on a Sunday. The presentation will take place at 11:00 AM in the Lok Sabha, according to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. He shared this information while responding to a question at a press conference in New Delhi.
The Budget Session of Parliament will begin on January 28 and continue until April 2, with a short break in between. The session will start with an address by President Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The Budget Session will be held in two phases. The first phase will run from January 28 to February 13, while the second phase will take place from March 9 to April 2. In total, there will be 30 sittings during the session.
During this period, Parliament will discuss the Union Budget, government spending plans, and other important bills and issues. The Budget outlines the government’s financial plans, priorities, and policies for the coming financial year.
