WPL 2026 Begins with RCB vs MI
The fourth season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 begins today, creating excitement among cricket fans across India. The opening match will feature Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).
The match will be played at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai and will begin at 7:30 PM. Before the match starts, a grand opening ceremony will be held to officially kick off the tournament.
The opening ceremony will include performances by popular celebrities, such as Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Harnaaz Sandhu, adding music, dance, and entertainment to the event.
This season of the WPL will be played at two different venues. The early matches will be held at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. After the Navi Mumbai leg is completed, the tournament will shift to the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
A total of 11 matches, including the Playoffs, will be played in Vadodara. Fans can look forward to exciting matches as teams compete strongly to win the WPL 2026 title.
