Rithvik Sanjeevi of the Hatsun Badminton Centre won the Men’s Singles title at the Senior National Badminton Championships, delivering a landmark national victory for Tamil Nadu which concluded today in Vijayawada. Rithvik played six matches en-route to the title, showing control and consistency through the draw. In the final, he defeated Bharat Raghav of Haryana 21-16, 22-20 to clinch the national crown. In the semi-final, Rithvik produced a significant result by defeating top seed and world number 38 Kiran George of Kerala in a closely contested three game match, winning 21 16, 17 21, 22 20. The win underlined his ability to manage pressure against higher ranked opponents.
