A Simple Look at the Pixel Watch 4
I’m not sure when it started, but I’ve developed a strange habit of
looking at people’s wrists just to see what watch they are wearing.
Whether I’m at an airport lounge or standing in a Starbucks line, I
keep noticing the watches people have on. I can’t say for sure which
watch is most common, but this habit has made me realise something
important: it’s better to choose a watch that suits your own style
and needs, instead of just buying the most popular one.
I see lots of travellers wearing smartwatches, fitness bands without
screens, and even simple analogue watches. This variety has made me more
confident that the best watch is the one that feels comfortable, looks good
to you, and fits well with the devices you already use—especially if it’s a
smartwatch.
Since I am fully using the Pixel ecosystem, the new Pixel Watch 4 feels like
the perfect match for my Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Pixel Buds Pro 2. It has
a beautiful curved display, a fun and smooth interface, strong battery life,
and smart features like Gemini on the wrist with a new raise-to-talk gesture.
After using the Pixel Watch 4 for two weeks, I can say it is one of the most
interesting and surprising smartwatch releases in a long time—and maybe even a
real competitor to the best smartwatches available today.
