December 2025 School Winter Vacations and Exam Schedule

Winter has arrived in many parts of India, and schools in several states have
announced their year-end and Christmas holidays according to their academic calendars.
With Christmas and the New Year approaching, schools have planned short breaks in late
December and early January, which may vary depending on the state and school board.

The winter holidays also come just before the exam season. Important exams like
JEE Main and other national-level entrance tests, as well as board exams for
central and state boards, are scheduled in the coming weeks. For many students,
the break is a time to finish their final preparations before the next academic
year begins.
