“Intel Unveils Panther Lake AI Laptop Chip”

Intel introduced its new AI chip for laptops, called Panther Lake, on Monday at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. The company hopes this launch will reassure investors about its latest technology. Panther Lake is the first product made using Intel’s next-generation 18A manufacturing process, which is designed to make chips faster and more efficient.

Jim Johnson, senior vice president and general manager of Intel’s PC group, shared details about the new chip. The first line of Panther Lake chips is called the Intel Core Ultra Series 3. These chips use a new design for transistors, the tiny switches inside the chip that control electricity. The design also improves how power is delivered to the chip, making it more energy-efficient.
