Realme Merges with Oppo to Reduce Costs
Chinese smartphone company Realme announced on Wednesday that it will now become a sub-brand of Oppo. This move is aimed at sharing resources and reducing costs for both companies, which have the same parent company.
Realme sells smartphones in India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. It is owned by BBK Electronics, a Chinese consumer electronics giant that also owns Oppo and Vivo.
By merging more closely with Oppo, Realme hopes to work more efficiently and compete better in global markets.
