WhatsApp Introduces Custom Lists for Status Updates

WhatsApp keeps adding new features, making it more than just a messaging app. Now, a new Instagram-like feature may soon arrive on the Meta-owned platform.

According to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, Meta is testing a feature that lets users create custom lists for status updates. This will allow people to organize their contacts into separate, curated groups.

The feature was seen in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.26.5.11. Each list can have a group of contacts, a name, and an emoji to make it easy to tell the lists apart.

This feature will help users share status updates with specific groups of friends or family, making WhatsApp more personal and organized.
