Two Panchayat Secretaries Killed in Road Accident

Charles Martin, leader of the Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi (LJK) and brother-in-law of TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna, on Thursday said he would spend ₹100 crore from his own money for the development of Puducherry if he wins the 2026 Assembly elections and forms the government.

With only a few months left for the elections, Charles Martin announced several election promises aimed at improving the lives of people in Puducherry. He said his main focus would be on development and good governance, and that he was ready to invest his personal funds to bring positive change to the Union Territory.

A key part of his promises was women empowerment. He announced six major welfare schemes specifically for women, saying that supporting women would help strengthen families and society as a whole. He added that his government would work to create more opportunities for women in education, jobs, and self-employment.

Charles Martin also said his party would focus on better infrastructure, improved public services, and transparent administration. He appealed to the people of Puducherry to give him a chance in the 2026 elections, promising that his government would work for the welfare and development of all sections of society.
