US Cricketers Await Indian Visas Ahead of T20 World Cup
Four U.S. cricketers of Pakistani origin are still waiting for visa clearance to travel to India for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, according to a report by Cricbuzz. The players are Ali Khan, Shayan Jahangir, Mohammad Mohsin, and Ehsan Adil.
The issue gained public attention after Ali Khan shared an Instagram story, in which he reportedly said that his visa had been “denied”. However, the post has since been deleted, and there has been no official confirmation about the visa status.
Ali Khan is a familiar name to Indian cricket fans. He was previously part of Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is known to be a favourite of the franchise management. He currently plays for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League and the Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.
Officials have not yet commented on when the visa issue will be resolved. The situation has raised concerns as the tournament approaches, with teams hoping all players will be able to travel in time for the World Cup.
