Kim Vows Nuclear Status, Slams South Korea

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, has said that his country will firmly maintain its position as a nuclear power and will not change this decision in the future. He also took a strong stand against South Korea, calling it the “most hostile” country.

Speaking on Monday, March 23, 2026, in a meeting of North Korea’s parliament in Pyongyang, Kim said that the country will continue to strengthen its military power. He made it clear that nuclear weapons are an important part of North Korea’s defense and security strategy.

Kim also criticised the United States, accusing it of “state terrorism and aggression.” His comments appeared to refer to ongoing conflicts in West Asia and the role of the U.S. in global military actions. He said North Korea would take a stronger role in opposing the U.S., especially as anti-American feelings are increasing in some parts of the world.

However, Kim did not mention Donald Trump directly. He said that it is up to other countries to decide whether they want conflict or peaceful relations with North Korea. At the same time, he warned that his country is ready to respond strongly to any situation.

Overall, Kim’s speech shows that North Korea plans to continue its hard-line policies, strengthen its military capabilities, and remain firm in its stance on both nuclear weapons and international relations.
