AJ Green Breaks Record with 11 Three-Pointers

MILWAUKEE (AP) — AJ Green set a new single-game record by making 11 three-pointers and scored a career-high 35 points in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 125-108 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. This broke the previous record of 10 three-pointers, which was shared by Ray Allen and Damian Lillard. Green now has 227 three-pointers this season, just two short of the franchise’s single-season record set by Allen in 2001-02.

Cormac Ryan added a career-high 28 points in his first start for Milwaukee. Taurean Prince contributed with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Ryan and Prince combined to make 11 of their 16 three-point attempts. The Bucks as a team shot 24 out of 48 from beyond the arc.

The game was the Bucks’ home finale as they wrap up their first losing season in a decade, ending a streak of nine straight playoff appearances. Meanwhile, speculation continues about the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has not played for 14 straight games due to a left knee injury. Antetokounmpo has expressed his desire to return and play.

Both teams rested several starters in this game, as they are both lottery-bound. Tyler Etienne scored a career-high 23 points for the Nets, while E.J. Liddell was ejected early in the fourth quarter after delivering an elbow during a foul situation.

The Nets will next face the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, while the Bucks will play the Philadelphia 76ers.
