Indian Diplomats Return Home from Iran
A group of Indian citizens, including family members of diplomats and students, safely left Iran over the weekend. They used a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran to make their journey possible.
The return trip was carefully organized by the Embassy of India in Tehran. The embassy worked closely with the Iranian government during a two-week pause in fighting that began on April 8. This cooperation helped ensure a safe and smooth evacuation.
The group first traveled by road, passing through Azerbaijan and Armenia. The journey was not easy, as they faced long travel hours and delays at border crossings. Despite these challenges, they continued their journey with proper planning and support.
After crossing into safer regions, the group was able to board flights and return to India. All members of the group reached home safely.
This effort helped ensure that Indian diplomats, their families, and students could return home during a difficult and uncertain time.
